As a Franciscan brother, I have been blessed to serve in a variety of ministries, in particular higher education ministry for more than 24 years at St. Bonaventure University. I am honored to now serve in the role of Vocation Director for Holy Name Province, where I have the privilege to work with men considering the Franciscan brotherhood. As Franciscans, we see ourselves as brothers to one another, living in community. While some are called to the ordained ministry as priests and others to lay ministry in a variety of roles, we are all brothers first and foremost. It is my sincere pleasure to invite you to consider whether or not God might be calling you to the consecrated life. Is God calling you to be a Franciscan Friar?

We are a fraternity of brothers serving God’s people. Currently, I serve as Parochial Vicar at Saint Mary’s and Saint Anthony churches in Pompton Lakes and Butler, N.J, respectively, with special emphasis on Hispanic ministry. I also do ministry in the Franciscan Vocation Office. I am very enthusiastic about helping our Hispanic candidates in their discernment process to religious life.

A Franciscan enthusiast and active member of Holy Name Province’s urban ministry parish of St. Francis of Assisi in New York City, I am honored to work in support of the Franciscan Vocation Ministry. St. Francis taught that work was both a joy and a privilege, and I am blessed to say that my work with the vocational ministry embodies both ideals. It is a joy to work with such Gospel-centered and authentic people; and it is a great a privilege to assist those discerning consecrated life find God’s calling to them.
